C'est ce tableau qui fut choisi pour figurer sur l'affiche de l'exposition consacrée à Berthe Morisot à Lille en 2002. L'oeuvre originale fut examinée et étudiée de près avant d'en commencer la reproduction. Les nuances de cette reproduction sont basées sur l'original tel que nous l'avons vu et non sur l'affiche dont le rendu coloristique, pour quelque raison, n'était pas authentique.
Cette oeuvre est construite en couches successives, tantôt opaques, tantôt transparentes. De nombreuses séances furent nécessaires pour arriver à une restitution aussi fidèle que possible, en accord avec la méthode de travail connue de Berthe Morisot.

This is the paiting that was chosen for the poster of the last Morisot exhibit in Lille, France, in 2002. The original was seen up close and carefully examined before this reproduction begun. Our reproduction, and its colours, was based on the original painting and not on the poster which which was, for some strange reason, not authentic colour-wise.
This Morisot is a construction of many layers of transparent and opaque paint. Many sessions were necessary to achieve authentic results, following Berthe Morisot's method for this work.
